-This montage consists of work done from 2007 through 2009, including commercial broadcast work, personal projects, and school work.

-Software used includes Maya 8.5, 3D Studio Max 9, After Effects CS3, Photoshop CS3, as well as other utilities such as RealFlow, VRay, FumeFX, and a variety of Trapcode AE plugins.




-Opening shot: Video footage with 3D lock & peep hole flythrough and 3D iris helix

-Castle: Matte painting background, catapults animated in 3D Studio Max using rigid and soft body dynamics, wall shatter created in Maya using rigid body dynamics, particle effects created in Maya. Compositing in After Effects

-Basement Head-Lamp: Matte painting background, actor filmed on green screen. Simple 3D environment was built in Maya, spotlight keyframed to match movement of actors head, with Maya fog to create atmosphere. Compositing in After Effects.

-Blood Stream: Modeled, textured, and rendered in Maya.

-Red/Yellow Particles: Video footage with Trapcode Particular particles added in After Effects. Sewer animation created in Maya

-Blue Satellite: Ribbon and sphere created in After Effects, 3D text in 3D Studio Max

-Red Dress: Woman animated in 3D Studio Max using a biped rig, dress animated using the garment maker and soft body dynamics in 3D Studio Max. Audience created in 3D Studio Max and revealed/composited in After Effects

-Portal: Burning and shining effects created in After Effects

-NMH: Logo created in Photoshop, animated in After Effects

-Globe Interface: Animated in After Effects

-Road Breakaway: Video tracking done in Maya. Concrete shattered and animated in Maya using rigid body dynamics, vine growth and building reveal created in 3D Studio Max. Bridge animated in 3D Studio Max using rigid and soft body dynamics.

-Burning Ship Crash: Ship modeled, textured, and animated in 3D Studio Max. Flame/smoke particles created in Maya, dirt particles in After Effects

-Building Explosion: Video tracking done in Boujou. Pillars shattered in Maya, animated using rigid body dynamics. Explosion flame created in 3D Studio Max using FumeFX

-Zombie Attack: Zombie animated and rendered in 3D Studio Max, composited in After Effects

-Dropship landing: Foreground buildings are a hand built miniature set. Ship modeled, textured, and animated in 3D Studio Max. Dust particles created in Maya.

-Race Track: Rendered in 3D Studio Max, composited in After Effects

-Ring Pour: Liquid created in RealFlow, rendered in 3D Studio Max, composited in After Effects

-Blood Cell: Modeled, textured, animated, and rendered in Maya

-Desert Explosion: Original footage was black and white video if an ink drop into water. Color alteration, blending modes, and roto-mattes were used to transform the ink drop into a massive explosion in a desert scene.

-ToddFX ending logo: Liquid particles created in RealFlow, smoke particles created in FumeFX, rendered in 3D Studio Max.
