-This piece began as a simple green screen test of the guy (Dereck C.) exploring a rustic basement. It evolved into something a little different when additional footage and the 3D zombies were added.
-All fog was created using Maya light fog. A simple 3D environment was created for the fog to exist in.
-A spotlight was manually keyframed to match the movement of the actor. This creates the beam shining on the wall as well as the light fog within it. The brightness of the bulb was created using the Trapcode Shine plugin for After Effects.
-The zombie was modeled and rigged by
theQiwiMan. Some additional displacement and bump mapping was added, and it was animated in 3D Studio Max.
